Key Stage 3 Graduation

“Every Child Matters Equally to God”

At All Saints Academy, our Year 9 students ‘graduate’ at the end of Key Stage 3. The aim of the graduation is to give Key Stage 3 its own identity and to encourage our students to become exceptional by the end of their first three years at All Saints Academy. It is an opportunity to celebrate and acknowledge students’ achievements in their first three years, but also to mark the next step in their educational journey. As students move into Key Stage 4 they need to be able to work independently and demonstrate maturity towards their studies. The graduation programme helps them prepare for this.

Graduation

At All Saints Academy we encourage parents / carers to look at the graduation SAINT pledges , which have been shared with your child and encourage them in their endeavours during Key Stage 3. There are different tiers of Graduation dependent on how many criteria your child meets, ranging from a First Class to a Third.

The special Graduation Ceremony at the end of Year 9 is celebrated in full academic dress: graduation gowns and caps. All parents are invited to share in the celebrations at the graduation afternoon ceremony. We look forward to working in partnership with your son/daughter and yourself to achieve their full potential.

Our pledges work in conjunction with our Cultural Capital and INVOLVE programme so please see how our embedded personal development will support Graduation further.

Learning Reflection Time

LrtEvery half term students will have one lesson that will be a Learning Reflection Time (LRT).

This will give all KS3 an hour to develop their metacognitive behaviours- especially their self-awareness.
